To kick off spring, Coolangatta’s Saltfest Surf Festival takes place on 3 September, 2016. This free event is a fusion of surf lifestyle, art and culture held at Coolangatta’s stunning beachside Queen Elizabeth Park. From artwork to board shapers, surf apparel and fun for the kids, it promises to be a top day out for all ages. In its second year, this unique festival captures the unique and vibrant coastal lifestyle that is the Southern Gold Coast.
The 14 th annual Swell Sculpture Festival is hitting Currumbin’s foreshore again from 9 – 18 September, 2016. Experience our golden sands come to life in the form of over 50 sculptures constructed by international, national and local artists. The free exhibition is open all hours and is quite the spectacle when lit up beneath the southern sky. Spring on the Gold Coast and being outdoors is a match made in heaven, and both these events are located within a stone’s throw of Kirra Surf Apartments.
