Well, what a fantastic start to the whale watching season – so far this season we have seen well in excess of 108 whales on our trips and most of these have been seen in the last week. Saturday and Sunday alone we saw 39 humpbacks and 1 minke whale on 2 trips – there has been some fabulous action on the high seas with humpbacks chasing each other and playing the mating game !!! The pods have been between 4 – 6 miles off shore and plenty of them, sea conditions have been perfect this last week and plenty of sunshine. Has been a bit chilly !!!
Over the last few days we have been lucky with a pod of five whales coming near the boat whilst chasing each other – now that was exciting and just yesterday one single whale came racing over to us from out to sea and circled the boat to have a look – I was so excited and so was everyone else – what a job !!!!

The International Rugby Sevens are coming to the gold coast 25-26th November 2011
This is an exciting event for the Gold Coast to hold and will be sure to be popular for all Rugby fans.

Kirra is only a short drive from the stadium (15min) however, with no parking available at the stadium, you may wish to consider the following options:
Bus: The bus will pick you up from the corner of Golden Four Drive & Lang Street, Kirra (less than 5 minute walk from the hotel) and take to directly to the Stadium. If you have pre-purchased your tickets to the game, these tickets will allow you free travel on the buses.
Taxi: Taking a taxi will be the quickest and easiest way to get to the staidum. The taxi’s can drop you off at the door to the stadium (no walking!)
Drive: There are various park and ride points for the games. Simply park your car and board one of the free designated buses straight to the stadium. Some park and ride points are Mudgereeba, Burleigh Heads.
